Welcome to the Cassiobury Collection at Watford Museum.

Both at the museum and on this website, you can explore Watford's collection of portraits of the Essex family, capturing the Earls, their wives and children during a period of over two centuries.

Additionally, you can view works painted of Cassiobury itself. These include John Wootton's A View of Cassiobury Park, which was purchased by the museum at auction in December 2002 to return it to the town.

All of these works are now on indefinite display at Watford Museum. Admission is free, and the museum is open from Thursday to Saturday between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
